JOB DESCRIPTION

Senior Claim Specialist

The ideal candidate will be located in Denver, Colorado. This is a fully remote position (Colorado).

1. Manage claims by conducting on-site inspections to fully assess and adjust property losses.
2. Ensure onsite inspections of properties are completed, including investigating facts, evaluating damages, and writing estimates.
3. Investigate and adjust both personal and commercial property claims with exposures up to and exceeding $500,000.
4. Evaluate contract language effectively and identify coverage issues.
5. Develop the file promptly and appropriately to provide accurate and timely investigation and loss analysis.
6. Maintain an active file diary to work toward resolution.
7. Recognize and pursue recovery opportunities.
8. Adhere to all statutory and regulatory fair claims practices.
9. Identify potential fraudulent claims.
10. Control the use, work product, and expenses of outside vendors effectively.
11. Engage and oversee additional investigative actions where needed, utilizing engineers, accountants, and other expert vendors.
12. Evaluate claim facts effectively and negotiate claim settlements.
13. Develop and maintain strong business relationships with internal and external customers.
14. Contribute successfully to the development and achievement of the team's goals, objectives, and results.
15. Support workload surges and/or Catastrophe Operations as needed, including working overtime during designated CATs.
16. Establish and maintain rapport with business partners, including insureds, agents, and underwriters.
17. Provide excellent customer service to a diverse client base, ensuring client satisfaction.
18. Conduct site inspections while maintaining ownership of the claim experience, including primary contact with insureds and agents, validating coverage, and working with vendors in a remote environment handling claims in the western territory.

The pay range for the role is $76,400 to $129,800. The specific offer will depend on an applicant's skills and other factors.
