Job summary

E2 Consulting Engineers, LP in Los Angeles, CA, seeks a Civil/Structural Engineer to design and analyze structural and civil systems, prepare drawings, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s in civil/structural engineering, at least six years of experience, and a California PE license; experience with seismic design and utility infrastructure is preferred; travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field from an accredited university.
• Minimum of six years of civil and structural engineering experience.
• California Professional Engineer license is required.
• Familiarity with codes: CA Building Code, IBC, ASCE 7, ACI 318, AISC 360.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD; Civil 3D and Revit preferred.
• Experience with structural analysis and design of foundations, framing, and seismic considerations.

Responsibilities

• Perform civil and structural engineering analyses and designs for utility, pipeline, industrial, and infrastructure projects.
• Prepare calculations, drawings, specifications, technical reports, design packages, and construction documents.
• Design structural systems and components using reinforced concrete, structural steel, masonry, and wood.
• Design foundations and support structures for buildings, equipment, control panels, and piping.
• Perform civil site design including grading, drainage, erosion control, and restoration plans.
• Review geotechnical reports and coordinate with geotechnical engineers.
