Job summary

Horrocks seeks an experienced Professional Engineer for Site Development in St. George, UT. You will own a range of civil design projects from inception to delivery, including drainage, roads, utilities and site plans, with oversight of budgets, timelines, and quality assurance.

Qualifications

• PE licensure or ability to obtain PE within one year.
• 10-15 years of progressive civil design experience with emphasis in drainage, utility, roadway, and development design.
• Strong project management and project delivery skills.
• Ability to supervise staff, bid projects, and develop project execution plans and technical deliverables.
• Outstanding client and personnel communication at all levels.
• Experience with private and municipal clients.
• Knowledge of local, regional, state and federal criteria.

Responsibilities

• Develop project work plans and scopes of work.
• Provide project oversight and schedule monitoring.
• Prepare fee proposals and track budgets and invoicing.
• Prepare roadway, grading, drainage, water, and sewer plans using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Produce design plans, technical reports, and memoranda.
• Administer QA for project deliverables.
• Prepare calculations, specs, and permits across jurisdictions.
• Develop construction cost models and opinions of probable cost.
