Job summary

Tiello is seeking a Senior Civil Project Manager / Professional Engineer to lead complex civil engineering and land development projects across the United States. This role is flexible/remote with travel and requires about 25–40% travel.

The position oversees feasibility, permitting, construction documents, and project delivery for large-scale developments, coordinating with developers, municipalities, and contractors nationwide.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of civil engineering experience.
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil engineering and land development projects from feasibility through construction.
• Manage large commercial, industrial, residential, mixed-use, and mission-critical developments.
• Oversee project scopes, budgets, schedules, staffing, deliverables, and performance.
• Provide technical leadership for grading, drainage, stormwater, utilities, and roadway improvements.
• Review construction documents, engineering reports, specifications, calculations, and permit packages.
• Manage entitlement, permitting, plan processing, and agency coordination.
• Coordinate with developers, architects, surveyors, municipalities, consultants, contractors, and utilities.
• Serve as primary client contact and maintain strong client relationships.
• Lead project meetings and communicate project status, budgets, schedules, and issues.
• Identify site constraints and develop practical engineering solutions.
• Mentor and develop project engineers, junior engineers, designers, and CAD staff.
• Travel nationally for site visits and project needs.
