Job summary

DCI Engineers in Portland, OR is seeking a Senior Civil Engineering Project Manager to lead complex building projects, mentor junior engineers, and develop lasting client relationships. You will apply your civil engineering degree and hands-on experience across teams and stay engaged with project stakeholders.

The role emphasizes producing engineering documents, proposals, scheduling, site development design, and coordinating with BIM Designers, contractors, and clients to ensure successful

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of civil engineering experience.
• Strong time management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
• Experience leading and mentoring junior engineers and coordinating with BIM Designers
• Desire to build strong client relationships and provide excellent service
• Effective communication skills with clients, contractors, and project teams
• Demonstrated ability to market yourself and DCI to new and existing clients
• Proven client relationship skills with the ability to support business development and pursuit of new work
• Civil Engineering degree from an ABET-accredited university
• PE license required

Responsibilities

• Develop, coordinate, and direct the production of engineering project documents
• Prepare fee proposals and contracts
• Develop workload and scheduling projections for project staff
• Oversee site development design: grading, drainage, sewer, water, erosion control and road design
• Provide construction support services
• Review submittals and prepare technical reports
• Coordinate design details with engineering and drafting teams
• Review completed drafting with contractors during construction
• Evaluate additional service requests and coordinate permit responses
• Build and maintain relationships with existing clients to support repeat work
• Support marketing and business development for new and existing clients
