Description

We are seeking an exceptional Civil Engineering team leader focused on private land development to join our organization and lead the expansion of our office in Long Beach, California. As a prominent player in the industry, we have a vast portfolio of civil engineering projects in the Southern California area, managed from our offices in Northern California, Oregon, and Washington. We are excited to establish a Civil Engineering division that complements our existing Energy division and strengthens our presence in Southern California. For the right candidate, we may consider establishing a new office within the Southern California/Los Angeles market. This is a great opportunity to build a robust department where success is celebrated and rewarded.

Pay is DOE: $120,000-$180,000+/year + Sign-On Bonus

*The pay range offered will be determined by job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Compensation decisions are made based on individual circumstances.

Responsibilities include:

• Leading and growing our Long Beach office to establish a strong civil engineering presence in Southern California
• Managing teams, winning contracts, and ensuring successful project delivery
• Fostering collaboration and team engagement through regular office presence
• Seeking and developing new business opportunities
• Managing existing projects in Southern California, ensuring excellent execution and client satisfaction
• Preparing proposals, scopes of work, and budgets
• Acting as the main client contact, responsible for all project-related items

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• PE license preferred
• 10+ years of experience managing teams and projects/programs
• Ability to manage projects independently
• Self-motivated with excellent client service skills
• Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Strong communication skills
• Proficiency with MS Office
