Job summary

CDR Maguire Engineering is seeking a Civil Engineering project manager to oversee multiple infrastructure projects in western Pennsylvania. The role focuses on bridge, street reconstruction, traffic and related locally led projects, ensuring scope, schedule and budget compliance.

Responsibilities include design project oversight, contract and funding management with PennDOT and FHWA, facilitating design reviews and coordinating with LPA staff. Travel as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in civil engineering required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) preferred or on PE track.
• Minimum 6 years of progressively responsible engineering design or design management experience.
• Familiarity with PennDOT Design Manuals 1–5 and PennDOT Publication 740 is a plus.
• Knowledge of DOT and FHWA policies and procedures is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee multiple design projects for a Local Public Agency program.
• Manage contracts, funding, design reviews, and coordination with PennDOT and FHWA.
• Coordinate and chair meetings reviewing progress, utilities, right of way, PUC and railroad matters.
• Oversee administrative and support staff; work closely with LPA staff.
• Travel as required and as directed by supervisor; perform other duties as needed.
