Job summary

LVI Associates is seeking a senior civil engineering leader to oversee its civil practice in Colorado. The role blends department leadership with hands-on technical responsibility, project oversight, financial management, staff development, and client growth.

The successful candidate will be an experienced Professional Engineer with extensive land development experience, serving municipalities, counties, and other public-sector entities.

Qualifications

• Colorado PE license or ability to obtain Colorado licensure promptly.
• 10+ years of civil engineering experience.
• At least 5 years of Project Management experience.
• Extensive land development experience with municipalities, counties, special districts, or similar public agencies.
• Experience delivering public infrastructure and private development projects through design, approvals, bidding and construction.
• Strong knowledge of municipal requirements, permitting and review processes, and public procurement.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support Project Managers, Engineers, and Designers across the civil engineering group.
• Establish expectations for technical quality, project execution, accountability, and collaboration.
• Mentor staff and help develop technical expertise and project-management capabilities.
• Align staffing and workload with current commitments, backlog, and future opportunities.
• Manage department budgets, staffing requirements, backlog, and utilization.
• Maintain productive relationships with public agencies, municipalities, developers, and teaming partners.
• Contribute to pursuit strategy, proposal development, project scoping, fee discussions, interviews, and contract negotiations.
• Represent the civil practice confidently in technical, client, and business-development settings.
