Job summary

Lane Construction is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to deliver complex civil infrastructure for a major highway project in the Tampa, FL area. The role oversees project engineers and surveyors, providing technical and administrative direction to ensure project success.

The position requires a BS in Civil Engineering or Construction Management, 8+ years of heavy civil experience, and strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering or Construction Management required.
• Heavy civil experience on projects over $100 million required.
• Minimum 8 years of project engineer experience in heavy civil construction.
• Strong working knowledge of Excel and Word.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong prioritization and organizational skills; detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate/manage design firms as required (design-build).
• Study design change alternates (design-build) or value engineering options (bid-build).
• Supervise all project engineering.
• Assist with management of project resource availability/efficiency.
• Project decision making/leadership in absence of Project Manager.
• Coach and develop staff.
• Carry out job duties while maintaining Lane values.
• And other duties as assigned.
