Job summary

SRK Consulting in Elko, NV, seeks a mid- to senior-level Engineer (Civil, Mining, Environmental) to support domestic and international mining projects. The role involves design, project management, client interface, and mentoring within a diverse team.

Candidates should hold a B.S. in Civil or Mining Eng, be a Nevada-registered P.E. or able to obtain, with 5+ years of mining experience. The position offers a competitive compensation package and employee ownership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Mining Engineering or related field.
• Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Nevada or ability to obtain registration.
• Minimum 5 years of mining-industry experience; consultancy experience a plus.
• Ability to collaborate with geochemistry, geotechnics, groundwater and environmental disciplines in a team.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Civil3D and civil design methods.

Responsibilities

• Execute civil design for mine waste and water engineering, permitting, and closure projects.
• Manage technical deliverables, budgets and schedules.
• Participate from conceptual through detailed design and permitting processes.
• Prepare and review engineering calculations, models and methods.
• Interface with clients and conduct site visits/inspections.
• Contribute to SRK's engineering practice development and mentoring.
• Engage in business development activities.
