Qualifications

• Active California law license is required.
• 5–7 years civil litigation experience, preferably including collections or creditors' rights.
• Experience appearing in court and handling hearings independently.
• Strong understanding of civil litigation procedures and document requirements.
• Ability to review and sign a high volume of documents accurately.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in court hearings and related civil litigation proceedings.
• Review, approve, and sign a high volume of pleadings and filings.
• Manage litigation matters in compliance with court rules and timelines.
• Review discovery materials and assess case actions.
• Negotiate settlements with various parties.
• Prepare and file required legal documents on time.
• Communicate progress to Managing Attorney, clients and staff.
• Conduct legal research and apply statutes and precedents.
• Coordinate with outside counsel as needed.
• Assist with client audits and compliance requirements.
• Stay updated on state and federal debt collection laws.
• Mentor colleagues and support staff as needed.
• Maintain accurate case records and deadlines.
