Job summary

Pacifica Services, Inc. seeks a Construction Inspector to support LAWA's civil construction inspection as a member of LAWA's Quality Assurance & Construction Inspection Division across multiple projects within LAWA's Capital Improvement Program.

Candidate must hold a LADBS Grading Deputy License or Deputy Post-Tensioning License, plus Cal-OSHA 30-hour training within the last four years, and have extensive public works inspection experience.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in inspection of Cal-Trans bridge, roadway, and structure projects.
• Minimum 10 years experience as a Superintendent on Cal-Trans bridge, roadway, and structures projects.
• Proven expertise in installation and inspection of sewer and storm drain systems and utility infrastructure.
• Strong working knowledge of City of Los Angeles, County of Los Angeles and Cal-Trans Standards.

Responsibilities

• Inspect major reinforced concrete structures including foundations, roadways, and bridges across jurisdictions.
• Inspect sanitary sewer and storm drain installations per LA standards.
• Inspect street lighting and traffic signal installations per LA Bureau of Street Lighting and LADOT specs.
• Enforce Cal-OSHA, safety requirements and report safety concerns.
• Prepare daily inspection reports documenting issues and progress.
