Job summary

BrightSelf in Sarasota, FL, is seeking a Civil/Environmental Engineer with a PE to lead design and environmental projects focusing on water, wastewater, and waste management systems.

This full-time, on-site role emphasizes regulatory compliance, preparation of reports, plans, permits, and coordination with clients, regulators, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver sustainable solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• 6+ years of engineering experience.
• Florida PE license or ability to obtain within 4 months.
• Strong communication and project management skills.
• Experience with AutoCAD 3D, GIS, hydraulics/modeling, or database management.
• Master’s degree and project management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects involving water, wastewater, reclaimed water, and water resources.
• Prepare and oversee designs, studies, models, master plans, permits, reports.
• Serve as a Project Manager or Technical Lead.
• Support pilot studies, GIS/CADD, modeling, CEI services, and client coordination.
• Assist with proposals, budgets, schedules, and presentations.
• Mentor engineers and CADD staff.
