Black & Veatch is seeking a Senior Civil Engineering Technician to lead civil design tasks for federal infrastructure projects. The role focuses on developing site plans, grading, and utilities using Civil 3D, CAD, and BIM while ensuring adherence to standards and quality expectations.

You will mentor technicians, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, review inputs, and help drive efficient, compliant deliverables.

Qualifications

• 11+ years related work experience (minimum).
• Onboarding and background check may be required.
• Hybrid or flexible work options after 90 days may be offered.

Responsibilities

• Serve as senior engineering technician and design specialist guiding project tasks.
• Apply advanced civil engineering concepts to develop site plans, grading, and utilities.
• Provide training and oversight to technicians to ensure design quality and consistency.
• Use CAD/CIM tools with standardized procedures to create/modify documentation and drawings.
• Coordinate with design teams and manage design inputs for consistency and compliance.
• Promote design standards and participate in process improvement activities.
• Review deliverables for quality, accuracy, and adherence to codes and standards.
• Support field activities and client communications as needed.
