Job summary

GAI Consultants is seeking a senior civil engineering leader to drive growth in the Ohio River Valley region. The role emphasizes client management, sales, and oversight of multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects for public and private clients through a senior leadership lens.

The candidate will guide strategic planning, engage with municipal and institutional clients, and lead proposals, budgets, and schedules while expanding GAI's regional presence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 15 years of civil engineering experience, with 5 in the local market preferred.
• Licensed Professional Engineer in Indiana or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Proven sales and client management capability.
• Knowledge of civil drainage, grading, and utilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and MS Project.

Responsibilities

• Provide sales and client management for existing and new strategic clients.
• Lead multi-disciplinary teams to pursue and deliver regional projects.
• Develop responses for RFPs/RFQs and prepare cost proposals.
• Develop project management plans focusing on budget and schedule control.
• Negotiate contracts and assist with strategic planning.
• Represent the practice at functions and professional events.
• Prepare backlog and manpower reports.
