Job summary
City of Portland's Portland Bureau of Transportation seeks a Senior Engineering Associate to lead civil design and review on capital projects. Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or similar field.
- Engineer-In-Training Certification (FE) at time of appointment.
- A valid state driver’s license.
- At least two years of civil engineering experience.
- Experience with public agency projects preferred.
Responsibilities
- Performs or directs design work under the direction of licensed engineers.
- Develops project concepts; conducts computations and cost analysis.
- Reviews plans to ensure code compliance and quality.
- Manages assignments from inception to completion and tracks progress.
- Operates computing tools to input data, model, and report results.
- Prepares bidding documents and monitors contractor progress.
