Job summary

TESSERE in Wichita, KS seeks a Civil Engineer to lead site analysis, planning, and design for commercial, institutional, and retail projects. This role requires interaction with staff, clients, contractors, and local authorities throughout conceptual design, permitting, and construction.

You will coordinate with project teams on drainage, water, wastewater, and utilities, conduct field measurements, and prepare detailed calculations and drawings to meet client requirements and contract standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience within the engineering industry.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited program.
• Licensed P.E. in at least one state in the U.S.
• NCEES current member preferred.

Responsibilities

• Engage with internal and external clients regarding project requirements and design development.
• Conduct site research with local jurisdiction and perform field measurements.
• Coordinate with sub-consultants on drainage, utilities, and land use concerns.
• Prepare detailed design calculations and drawings per company standards.
• Review contractor schedules and provide construction administration support.
