Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a licensed Professional Engineer to lead a team of engineers and technicians on civil site projects in Texas. You will supervise design for grading, drainage, utilities, and street systems while coordinating with clients and City agencies.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
Professional Engineer registration in Texas.
Minimum 6 years of experience in the listed responsibilities.
Experience with plans production and management.
Experience with entitlements such as Platting, Zoning, and Municipal Permitting.
Experience with Site Planning and Development Master Planning.
Experience with Grading and Drainage Design.
Experience with Street and Alley Design.
Experience with Site Design.
Experience with Water and Wastewater Design.
Experience with Hydrology and Hydraulics Analysis and Design.
Experience with General Civil Design.
Experience with Construction Management.
Excellent written and oral communication skills to interact effectively with clients, staff, municipal authorities, vendors, and contractors.
Must be able to attend City Council/client meetings as needed.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage engineers and technicians.
Provide technical supervision and design for pavement, utilities, grading, site elements, and drainage.
Develop and manage clients, including relationships, financial accounting, and responsiveness.
Apply local zoning ordinances, subdivision regulations, and other design criteria.
Manage in-house and external surveying support.
Participate in community, civic, technical, and professional organizations.
Develop proposals, scopes, and fees and track performance.
Develop and maintain relationships with City departments.
Present at hearings, Commissions, and Council meetings.
Design office, retail, industrial, and institutional sites.
Support residential subdivisions from land acquisition to finished lots.
Work on municipal roadway, drainage, and planning projects.
