Olsson is seeking a Senior Engineer to lead our Rail Track Team on intermodal and terminal rail projects from concept through completion. You will guide design, develop plans, and mentor junior engineers while coordinating with project managers and clients to ensure quality and schedule.

This remote, national role requires a PE license, a civil engineering degree, at least eight years in rail track design, and strong communication and leadership skills.

Job Description

As a Senior Engineer for Olsson’s Rail Track Team, you will provide technical leadership and design expertise for complex terminal and intermodal rail projects from concept through completion. Your responsibilities will include leading track and civil design efforts, developing plans and technical solutions, performing quality control reviews, and preparing design calculations and cost estimates. You’ll collaborate closely with project managers, clients, and multidisciplinary teams while mentoring junior staff and helping improve design processes and overall project quality.

You bring to the team:

• PE license required.

The typical annual salary range for this role is as listed below. Compensation may vary based on geographic location, experience, and qualifications. Employees in this role may be eligible for our performance‑based bonus and merit increases.

National Pay Range

$120,000 - $160,000 USD
