Job summary

KS Engineers, P.C. is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer/Project Manager to lead civil/site and highway projects from proposal through final design and construction support.

You will mentor engineers, supervise CAD teams, prepare budgets, and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery for transportation and public infrastructure. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering and a NJ/NY PE license, with 8+ years of civil/site experience and strong client coordination.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
• PE license in NJ or NY; reciprocity if licensed elsewhere within a reasonable timeframe.
• 8+ years of civil/site engineering experience desired.
• 5+ years managing multiple civil/site projects and leading design teams.
• Familiarity with NJDOT, NYSDOT, NYCDOT, NJDEP, NYSDEC, NYCDEP; NYCDDC, PANYNJ, NJTA a plus.
• Experience managing budgets, schedules, staffing, and client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple civil/site and highway projects from proposal through final design and construction support.
• Lead multidisciplinary engineering and CAD design teams.
• Develop project scopes, schedules, staffing plans, and budgets.
• Monitor project progress, profitability, and resource allocation.
• Review and approve project invoices, change orders, and financial reports.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, subconsultants, utility companies, regulators and other KSE departments.
• Oversee civil/site/highway design documents for transportation, municipal, commercial, and public infrastructure projects.
• Prepare engineering calculations, technical reports, specifications, quantity estimates, and construction cost estimates.
• Direct the preparation of construction plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Conduct field investigations, site assessments, utility coordination, and observe geotechnical investigations.
• Ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership throughout project execution.
