Job summary

All South Consulting Engineers is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer / Supervisor in Louisiana to lead complex roadway, drainage, water, and coastal civil site projects. The role requires a LA-licensed Professional Engineer with 10+ years of design and project management experience.

You will guide design teams, coordinate with clients, and ensure conformance to codes and standards. The position involves developing budgets, reviewing drawings for accuracy, and managing construction administration

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering.
• Louisiana registered Civil Professional Engineer.
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant work in civil engineering field.
• Must have served as responsible in charge to sign and seal plans.
• Expertise with civil engineering software including operating and interpreting results.
• Self-starter who can work independently and communicate effectively with team members.

Responsibilities

• Developing conceptual layouts and cost studies.
• Producing preliminary designs and quantity take-offs suitable for developing project budgets.
• Checking designs and drawings developed by other engineers & drafters to ensure accuracy, conformance to codes, specifications, design criteria and conformance to good engineering practice.
• Assisting other engineers in developing and assembling designs, drawings, and project specifications.
• Manage projects and coordinate with engineering team and clients on all aspects of project design and construction.
• Work independently on projects in addition to leading, planning, organizing other design staff.
• Construction Administration responsibilities include oversight of staff engineers in submittal reviews, review of pay applications, reviewing quantities, design and preparation of project modifications, review of construction change orders, manage construction meetings.
