Job summary

Natural Resources Management, LLC is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to lead and grow our engineering capabilities. This role blends strong technical oversight with team leadership, client relationship management, and a business-minded approach to growth.

The position requires a Civil Engineering degree and an active PE license in Ohio and/or Michigan, or the ability to obtain reciprocity, with 7–10+ years of civil engineering and project management experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Active PE license in Ohio and/or Michigan (or ability to reciprocity).
• 7–10+ years of civil engineering experience including project management.
• Strong knowledge of civil design, permitting, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Engineer of Record and provide technical oversight for civil engineering projects.
• Lead and review work involving site development, utilities, stormwater, roadways, and infrastructure.
• Help build systems, processes, and quality standards for a growing engineering practice.
• Lead projects from scope and proposal through permitting and delivery.
• Develop relationships with municipalities, developers, contractors, and partner firms.
• Represent NRM in client, regulatory, public, and stakeholder meetings.
• Mentor and develop team members to build a high-performing engineering team.
• Contribute to business development, strategic planning, and growth of NRM.
