Job summary

Seattle City Light is seeking Associate‑Level Electrical Engineers to support the Network unit in downtown Seattle and surrounding areas. You will work on project engineering, CAD drafting, and coordination with contractors and public agencies to advance distribution projects.

The role requires a BS in Electrical Engineering and at least three years of professional experience, with proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office.

Qualifications

Requires three years of professional electrical engineering experience.
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and construction documents.

Responsibilities

Serve as project engineer for unit projects.
Prepare drawings manually or with CAD.
Monitor construction progress and coordinate with contractors and public agencies.
Review plans, specs and agreements; manage procurement and payments.
Prepare project estimates and lead projects to completion.
Design equipment and projects specific to the unit.
Support presentations and special projects.
Align with City-wide strategic goals including race and social justice initiatives.
Install downtown network distribution components and review energized facilities using CAD tools.
