Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Senior Resident Engineer to join the team in Tallahassee or Chipley, FL. The role focuses on FDOT Transportation projects such as roads and bridges and requires extensive experience in design and construction observation.

The candidate should have a Civil Engineering degree, 15 years of relevant experience, and PE certification. Active involvement in project management and cost control is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Fifteen years of experience with Bachelor’s degree combining engineering design and construction observation administration, including management and supervision of field and office personnel.
• PE certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Plans, organizes and directs the administration and coordination of construction observation and reporting activities.
• Manages financial operations of construction office, monitoring costs and dispersing funds, and coordinating accounting and cost allocation.
• Leads staff involved in observation, testing and sampling of construction materials, and documentation of progress.
• Reports cost and quality control activities.
• Coordinates ongoing construction monitoring with the client program manager.
• Prepares and coordinates contract changes and supplemental agreements with client.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Must have experience working on FDOT projects.
