Senior Civil Engineer, Aviation

In this role, you will be a part of the Aviation Design team based in Chicago, IL, Houston, TX, or Dallas, TX. The projects will involve major airports across the United States.

What a day at EXP has in store for you

• Lead design efforts in airfield geometry.
• Lead design efforts in airfield pavement design.
• Lead design efforts in airfield lighting and signage.
• Lead design efforts in utility installation and relocation.
• Lead design efforts in construction phasing.
• Lead design efforts in airport access roads and security facilities.
• Lead design efforts in landside transportation facilities.
• Prepare contract documents, specifications, reports, and detailed cost estimates.
• Manage construction administration.
• Assist with aviation group project management and business development.
• Lead meetings with team members.
• Mentor team members.
• Prepare project proposals.
• Produce technical reports, presentations, and client communications.
• Deliver tasks, manage budgets, and ensure quality control.
• Supervise the work of junior team members.
• Make a positive contribution to the overall team culture and environment.

What Your Experience Looks Like

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
• 7+ years of related airport design experience
• Licensed Professional Engineer
• Proficient with AutoCAD or Microstation
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong interpersonal skills that focus on meeting customer requirements

Pay range: $100,000 to $150,000. Salary is based on factors such as skill set, experience, certifications, and location.
