Job summary

EXP is seeking a Civil Engineer for its Aviation Design team based in Chicago, IL. In this role, you will work on significant projects with major airports across the United States, focusing on airfield geometry, pavement design, and utility installations.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Civil Engineering, EIT or PE certification, and 2+ years of airport design experience. A competitive salary range of $85,000 to $110,000 is offered along with a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance and a 401(k) retirement plan.

In this role, you will be a part of the Aviation Design team based in Chicago, IL. The projects will be with major airports across the United States.

• Airfield geometry
• Airfield pavement design
• Airfield lighting and signage
• Utility installation and relocation
• Construction phasing
• Airport access roads and security facilities
• Landside transportation facilities
• Prepare contract documents, specifications, reports, and detailed cost estimates
• Construction administration

What Your Experience Looks Like

• Degree in Civil Engineering with 2+ years of related airport design experience
• EIT or PE
• Proficient with AutoCAD, Civil3D or Microstation
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong interpersonal skills that focus on meeting customer requirements

Salary and Benefits

The salary range for this role is $85,000 to $110,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to the candidate's skill set, experience, certifications, and geographic location. Compensation may vary by location due to differences in the cost of labor.
