Job summary

Tesla Laboratories in Merritt Island, FL seeks an experienced Civil Engineer to design infrastructure and facilities projects for federal clients. A Bachelor's degree in civil engineering and 12 years of experience are required; Professional Engineer license is preferred.

Proficiency with Office, AutoCAD, ArcGIS, ICPR, and WaterCAD/SewerCAD is essential. You must be fluent in English, able to inspect sites, climb stairs, and perform reports.

Responsibilities

Job Description

• Be proficient with the use of the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Outlook), Adobe Pro and AutoCAD and cost estimating software. The government will issue a computer for use.
• Be fluent in English, both written and spoken, grammar, spelling and technical report writing.
• Be capable of walking on uneven surfaces such as may be encountered on a construction site inspection up to 1 mile. Be capable of standing for extended periods in the heat and a variety of weather conditions. Be able to climb stairs and a ladder without assistance. Be able to bend and reach to visually inspect equipment installations and site conditions
• Experience in design of infrastructure and facilities projects, including but not limited to utilities design, site development, paving, grading, drainage, and stormwater design/modeling. Proficiency with ICPR, ArcGIS, AutoCAD, and WaterCAD/SewerCAD is preferred.
