Job DescriptionJob DescriptionSenior Civil Engineer (Sr. Project Manager)

We are currently seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join our team! This role will be pivotal in leading and managing a variety of exciting land development projects, while contributing to the ongoing growth of our engineering practice.

Our firm is a trusted, multi-disciplinary consultancy operating across the Southern New England area (Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island). We provide comprehensive services in Civil Engineering, Land Surveying, Landscape Architecture, and Land Planning, partnering with both private and public clients. Our projects encompass diverse sectors such as mixed-use developments, residential communities, commercial spaces, industrial facilities, and recreational areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and contribute to the design of site development plans using Civil 3D software for a wide variety of projects.
  • Perform design calculations and generate reports for stormwater management, drainage systems, and water quality solutions.
  • Conduct site assessments for data gathering, soil testing, and monitoring of stormwater and septic systems.
  • Engage directly with clients, local officials, and consultants, and present designs to regulatory bodies to secure project approvals.
  • Create a positive and supportive environment for junior engineers, providing guidance and mentorship to help further their professional growth.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, or a similar field of study
  • Active Professional Engineer (PE) license .
  • 5+ years of experience in land development design, including a broad range of project types.
  • Solid experience using AutoCAD for design and planning. Experience with Civil 3D is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to advocate effectively for projects in front of regulators and stakeholders.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
  • In-depth experience with various land uses and development types.
