Job summary

Pennoni is hiring a Senior Engineer to lead multi-discipline Site/Civil design projects from our Camden, NJ office. You will manage private development projects, act as lead civil engineer, and coordinate with disciplines while mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional experience in land development and permitting.
• NJ PE license; other states a plus; leadership in multi-disciplinary projects.

Responsibilities

Job description

We are hiring for a Senior Engineer to contribute to multi-discipline Site/Civil design projects on a full-time, direct basis at our office in Camden , NJ . This person will have the opportunity to lead a variety of public and private site development projects across various markets!

Primary Responsibilities:

• Manage multiple projects and tasks for a variety of client types on the private development side of the office.
• Act as the lead civil engineer of record on projects.
• Coordinate with other disciplines, as necessary.
• Responsible for development of and maintaining client accounts.
• Prepare proposals for new & existing clients (including estimation of project fees).
• Oversee the development of Land Development Plans; this includes the preparation of engineering design drawings, technical specification, and engineering reports (from schematic design through construction).
• Coordinate permits through regulatory agencies for large scale, complex projects.
• Delegate workload to Junior Engineers & Drafters; this includes mentoring / guiding Junior Engineers to develop Stormwater Management [SWM] strategies, Utility Coordination, and Erosion & Sediment Control [E&SC] Design.
• Additional tasks may be assigned, as needed.

Basic Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (or a similar discipline).
• 10+ years of professional experience working in Engineering with a focus on land development and associated permitting.
• PE license in NJ. Other states a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Management and/or Project Management experience; proven ability to manage multi-discipline projects is strongly preferred.
• Advanced expertise working with design and permitting activities.
• Experience working with water resources (such as stream and waterway restoration).
• Experience with engineering tools (e.g.: CADD, GIS, analytical programs, etc.); experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and ArcGIS / ArcInfo.
• Experience with H&H tools (e.g.: HydroCAD, InfoSWWM, OpenFlows WaterCAD, WaterGEMS, & SewerGEMS).
• Proficiency on all standard Microsoft Office software applications (especially Word, Excel, and Outlook).
• Proven ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision while displaying a positive attitude.
• Excellent organizational skills, especially with a proven ability to work in a self- motivated manner while effectively multi-tasking and prioritizing multiple assignments.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal & written); technical writing skills are strongly preferred!

TARGET SALARY RANGE: $120K - $160k (per year)
