Job summary

KM Engineering seeks a highly motivated Civil Engineer to lead a team of engineers and project managers on complex land development projects, including residential, multifamily, commercial, and industrial developments.

The ideal candidate is a licensed PE with strong leadership, mentoring, and project management skills, delivering design supervision, client meetings, and top-quality deliverables on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
• PE licensure is preferred with 10+ years of experience.
• Proficient in AutoCAD/Civil 3D.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead project planning, design supervision, and client engagement for land development projects.
• Oversee quality assurance and ensure deliverables meet high standards of precision and timeliness.
• Provide leadership in client meetings, build strong professional relationships, and mentor the team.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance and timely project delivery.

Job description

KM Engineering is seeking a highly motivatedCivil Engineer. The ideal candidate will be a licensed Professional Engineer with strong leadership skills and a passion for mentoring and managing a team of engineers and project managers, while also leading complex land development projects, including residential, multifamily, commercial, and/or industrial projects. Key responsibilities encompass project planning, design supervision, client engagement, and quality assurance. The Engineer will demonstrate leadership in client meetings, foster strong professional relationships, and ensure that all project deliverables adhere to the highest standards of precision and punctuality.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance and timely project delivery
• Create and maintain project quality standards and procedures
• Assist with hiring, team growth, and strategic planning
• Oversee project budgets, schedules, scopes, and client alignment.
• Draft proposals for clients

Job Qualifications/Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an ABET accredited curriculum
• PE licensure is preferred (10 years minimum experience)
• Proficient in AutoCAD/Civil 3D
• Self-motivated and able to work as part of a team and/or independently
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication skills
