Job summary

Amatriot Group seeks a Civil Engineer to sustain mission critical facilities at Kirtland AFB, NM. You will prepare design documentation, statements of work, specifications, drawings, calculations, and building code references to support project success and compliance.

Required: ABET-accredited civil engineering degree and at least five years of relevant experience; ability to obtain US government clearance; US citizenship. PE license preferred, valid driver's license required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• Experience: minimum of five years in civil/DoD environment.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a US government clearance.
• US citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME throughout the project lifecycle from existing conditions through construction completion.
• Evaluate project submittals and prepare modification packages.
• Participate in technical design reviews and requirements validation.
• Support design development, analysis, and review tasks.
• Provide technical approach assessments and evaluate/approve submittals.
• Prepare statements of work, specifications, drawings, and building code references.
• Review plans for new construction and maintenance/removal of layouts.
• Presentations and briefings to government counterparts and clients.
• Capture and summarize insights from interviews and meetings.
• Translate insights into draft deliverables and products.

This represents the potential salary range for this position depending on education level years of experience andor certifications in addition to other position specific requirements which may impact salary

Position Overview

The Civil Engineer will support the sustainment of mission critical facilities and infrastructure at Kirtland AFB to ensure continued mission success for the customer

The position will prepare design documentation including statements of work specifications drawings sketches calculations and building code references

Key Responsibilities

Project Lifecycle and Technical Support

• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert SME throughout the project lifecycle from existing conditions investigations through conceptual design and construction completion
• Evaluate project submittals provide technical solutions and prepare modification packages
• Participate in technical design reviews and requirements validation
• Support design development analysis and review tasks
• Provide technical approach assessments and evaluate and recommend approval of submittals

Design Documentation and Review

• Prepare statements of work specifications drawings sketches calculations and building code references
• Review plans and detail drawings for new construction and the maintenance removal or rearrangement of existing layouts and finishes
• Formulate and recommend corrective action measures including schedule revisions manpower adjustments fund allocations and work requirements

Communication and Deliverables

• Prepare and present presentations and briefings to KAFB government counterparts and clients
• Capture synthesize and summarize key points from interviews focus groups and internal meetings
• Translate insights from interviews focus groups and internal meetings into draft deliverables and products

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelors degree in civil engineering from a program certified by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology ABET Required

Experience

• Minimum of five years of relevant experience Required
• Experience working at or for a military installation is preferred
• Commitment and capacity to work in a collaborative environment in support of the Air Force mission and in compliance with established DoD criteria Required

Licensure

• Ability to obtain and maintain a government clearance
• US citizenship is required
• Must obtain and maintain the required security clearance or other authorizations within the necessary timeframe required by applicable contracts

Preferred Qualifications

Experience

• Currently possess a Professional Engineer PE license in one of the US states or territories
• Five or more years of experience working in the engineering section at a major military installation preferably a US Air Force base
