Kimley-Horn's Ocala, FL office is seeking a Civil Design Technician with 6+ years of experience to join our Discipline team. You will draft, develop, and review complex civil drawings and plans, mentor CAD staff, and ensure project quality.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of relevant experience in civil design.
• High school diploma or equivalent; associates degree preferred.
• Ability to set up and manage printing/plotting settings.
• Advanced knowledge of Autodesk or Bentley products.
• Strong work ethic and good communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and with a team.
• Willingness to mentor and teach others.
• Detail oriented with a professional attitude.

Responsibilities

• Implement and manage drafting and plan preparation standards.
• Develop technical drawings and plans.
• Quality check drawings and plans of substantial complexity; perform some multifaceted calculations.
• Require minimal supervision to perform day-to-day tasks.
• Knowledge of engineering principles; suggest design changes.
• Maintain drawing database; supervise and train CAD staff.
• Coordinate work activities to meet schedules and ensure quality.
• Familiarize with Kimley-Horn’s practices, procedures, and standards.
