Thomas & Hutton seeks a Civil Design Engineer specializing in water and wastewater for municipal projects in Nashville. You will design pipelines, treatment facilities, tanks, and pump stations, while preparing drawings, specs, and reports for permitting and construction.

You will perform hydraulic modeling, coordinate with regulatory agencies, and lead client meetings. Strong communication and project management skills are essential for delivering on time and within budget.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil, Environmental, or Biosystems Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• 5+ years of experience with municipal water and wastewater clients.
• Experience in planning, design, permitting, and construction administration of infrastructure projects.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D; hydraulic modeling software preferred.

Aufgaben

• Design water and wastewater infrastructure components (pipelines, treatment plants, tanks, pump stations).
• Prepare drawings, specifications, and reports for municipal projects.
• Perform hydraulic modeling and system analysis using WaterCAD/Innovyze or similar tools.
• Support permitting efforts and coordinate with regulatory agencies.
• Participate in construction administration including site visits and contractor coordination.
• Lead client meetings and provide technical updates to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to meet schedule and budget.
