Job summary

URC Wilson & Company, Inc., Engineers & Architects is looking for a Senior Civil CAD Designer to join our Albuquerque office. This full-time position will focus on site civil, grading, drainage, and roadway design tasks primarily using Civil 3D.

Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and at least eight years of related experience in civil engineering. The role includes generating plan sets and ensuring high-quality production while adhering to industry standards.

Position Summary

Wilson & Company, Inc., Engineers & Architects is currently seeking a full‑time Senior Civil CAD Designer to support our Water Resources and Land Development teams in our Albuquerque, NM office. This person will perform site civil, grading, drainage, and roadway design tasks associated with civil engineering projects in Civil 3D environments.

Responsibilities

• Operate computer-aided design (Civil 3D) system and develop plan set deliverables.
• Organize plan set, sheets, detail development, and coordinate interdisciplinary reviews.
• Assess quality of drawings, initiate changes to meet standards, and maintain high‑quality production.
• Design according to industry standards and state/federal construction policies.
• Meet project schedules and deliverables, create study and design materials for public meetings and client deliverables.
• Support planning and design functions of multi‑disciplined teams during construction stage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or associate degree in a related field (preferred).
• Extensive knowledge and experience in Civil 3D.
• Minimum of eight (8) years of direct experience.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact well with coworkers, clients, and regulatory agencies.

Compensation and Benefits

• Hourly Rate: $35.00 - $45.00+ (depending on experience).
