Job summary

City and County of Denver seeks a Senior City Planner for Development Projects to lead the review of large, multi-phased developments from inception to approval. The role requires coordinating with multiple city agencies, developers, and external partners to deliver timely outcomes in a collaborative, service-focused setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in planning, architecture, or related field.
• Five years of professional experience reviewing development projects, rezoning, or amendment requests.
• Ability to coordinate across multiple stakeholders and manage complex development projects.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage the coordinated review process for new development projects.
• Serve as primary point of contact across agencies and external entities; track review history.
• Balance multiple projects and coordinate with city departments to implement plans.
• Provide urban design guidance within Design Review Districts.
• Ensure timely, efficient review and approvals across teams.
