Responsibilities

• Represents the City and its boards in court and before administrative bodies.
• Investigates claims and prepares for and participates in litigation to minimize liability.
• Drafts and reviews legal documents to protect the City's position.
• Advises on laws, codes, and policies; communicates with stakeholders to reduce risk.
• Conducts legal research and maintains current knowledge of applicable laws.
• Negotiates agreements and manages agency projects with timelines and reports.
