Job summary

DARPA HQ in Arlington, VA seeks a CISO Support SME to provide principal-level cybersecurity guidance to senior leaders. The role focuses on secure multi-cloud architectures, CDS, and cutting-edge tech like AI, with autonomy to shape DARPA's security posture across high-risk programs.

Required are TS-SCI clearance, 15+ years in SETA roles including senior advisory capacity, and DoD/NIST RMF expertise. This is a full-time, on-site position at DARPA, Arlington.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility.
• Master’s degree or Ph.D. in a relevant technical field.
• 15+ years progressive SETA experience with 6+ years in senior advisory or chief architect roles for DoD/IC.
• Expert in secure multi-cloud architectures (AWS, Azure) in government contexts.
• Proficient with DoD RMF and NIST security standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide principal-level cybersecurity expertise and strategic counsel to DARPA leadership.
• Lead assessments and shape the security roadmap for cloud and emerging technologies.
• Evaluate secure cloud architectures and Cross Domain Solutions; offer definitive recommendations.
• Drive threat/opportunity analysis for AI, quantum computing, and related areas.
• Mentor program staff on integrating advanced security principles from inception through transition.
