Job summary

Themis Insight, LLC is seeking a Sr. Network Engineer (Cisco & Network Security) to support operations at Fort Meade, MD.

This role requires TS/SCI with a Polygraph and involves designing, deploying, and maintaining secure network infrastructure for critical environments. You will install and configure routers, switches, and firewalls; implement security controls; monitor performance; and document networks in a DoD/IC context.

Qualifications

• Twelve (12) years’ experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited college or university is required.
• Certifications: An IAT level III baseline certification as defined by DoD 8570.01-M is required.
• Minimum of 3 years as a Network Engineer (within the last 3 years).
• Proficient with Linux. Linux system administration experience is a plus.
• CCNA or CCNP certification.
• Security+ certification.

Responsibilities

• Develop, plan, and implement scalable network solutions, new network layouts, and upgrades.
• Install, configure, and maintain network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls) and software.
• Implement and manage network security measures, including firewall rules, access controls, and security protocols to protect data.
• Resolve network issues.
• Monitor network health, analyze traffic patterns, and improve visibility through metrics and alerting.
• Create and maintain network documentation, policies, and procedures.
