Job summary

Progressive / SThree Group is seeking a senior network engineer to act as the owner's technical representative for Cisco-led modernization projects. You will provide technical oversight during solution design workshops and review architecture and design documents.

Collaborate across Cybersecurity, Network, Server, Engineering Support, and Operations teams; supervise testing, change control, risk management, and vendor execution to ensure successful delivery and deployment.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Cisco networking technologies and infrastructure.
• Experience reviewing and validating network solution designs, requirements, and technical documentation.
• Experience providing technical oversight and guidance to third-party vendors and implementation partners.
• Experience supporting network upgrades, hardware refreshes, and infrastructure modernization projects.
• Strong understanding of network testing, QA, and system validation processes.
• Experience managing change control, risk management, escalations, and issue resolution.
• Ability to work effectively across technical and operational organizations.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to represent stakeholder interests during vendor engagements.

Responsibilities

• Act as the owner's technical representative for Cisco-led network modernization and upgrade projects.
• Provide technical oversight and input during solution design workshops and project meetings.
• Review and validate solution requirements, network architecture, and design documentation.
• Ensure vendor-delivered solutions meet operational and technical requirements.
• Collaborate with Cybersecurity, Network, Server, Engineering Support, and Operations teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Review, approve, and oversee testing activities, including QA processes, test plans, and test results.
• Support change management, risk management, issue resolution, and project escalations.
• Monitor vendor implementation activities and ensure successful execution of project deliverables.
• Partner with field personnel and operational teams to support deployment and integration efforts.
• Participate in project kick off, onboarding, and implementation activities.
