Job summary

INNOVIM in Washington, DC seeks a Senior Network Engineer to provide advanced engineering and advisory leadership for a Cisco-based enterprise network. You will design secure architectures, drive Zero Trust adoption, and oversee security assessments and audits to strengthen network security and resilience.

The role requires 8–10 years of enterprise network engineering, CCNP or higher, and the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance; hybrid work is possible with on-site as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or Engineering.
• 8–10 years of enterprise network engineering experience, including senior/lead roles.
• Deep expertise in Cisco routing, switching, and security; Zero Trust and 802.1X/NAC.
• Active Cisco CCNP (CCIE a plus) or equivalent; Security+ or higher.
• U.S. citizenship or Permanent Residence and ability to obtain Public Trust.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, operate, and optimize secure Cisco network architectures.
• Advise stakeholders and collaborate with cybersecurity and operations teams.
• Enforce Zero Trust per NIST 800-207 with 802.1X integration.
• Lead security assessments, audits, and remediation support.
• Manage network monitoring, logging, and alerting with SIEM/NDR.
• Establish vulnerability management and device lifecycle programs.
• Harden devices and secure perimeter assets including MFA.
• Improve security posture using threat intelligence and Cisco security innovations.
• Follow formal change control and perform RCAs for incidents.
