Job summary

TxDOT is seeking a Senior Cinematographer to join the in-house Creative Services team in Austin. The role entails producing broadcast-quality video in-studio and on location, elevating tone, quality, and impact across campaigns.

You will lead shoots, advise on visual storytelling, and ensure projects meet brand standards while collaborating with executives and cross-functional teams. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong visual authorship, creative judgement, and the ability to work

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required; 5 years writing, editing, journalism or communications activities.
Demonstrated ability to lead complex shoots and coordinate with external crews.

Responsibilities

Operate and direct camera, lighting, and audio to support creative intent.
Develop shot lists, production schedules, and call sheets for efficient planning.
Direct shoots with talent, crew, vendors, or subcontractors when needed.
Collaborate with internal teams to define visual direction and storytelling.
Attend public events and coordinate with clients to meet project goals.
