Blizzard Entertainment, Inc. in Irvine, CA is seeking a Senior Layout Artist - Temp to join our Cinematics layout team. You’ll translate rough scenes into production-ready shots, supporting previz, environments, continuity, and shot dressing for cinematic sequences.

The role is a ~12-month temporary, hybrid on-site and remote, with potential alternate arrangements. Minimum 8+ years in layout or 3D generalist roles and strong storytelling and pipeline knowledge are required.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of production or feature film experience in a layout or 3D generalist role.
• Skill and experience in building and dressing sets and environments and composing shots for production.
• Depth of knowledge in 3D pipelines, both technically and artistically.
• Knowledge of storytelling, film, and composition; experience with modeling, rigging, animation, and cameras; plus familiarity with surfacing, lighting, rendering, and compositing.

Responsabilités

• Using Maya, translate and help compose previz into shot assemblies, and deliver scenes ready for animation.
• Create, add, or adjust set dressing, static character poses, and crowd cycles for final shot composition.
• Support animation and other departments at various stages, managing shot configurations and preview rendering for quality review.
• Organize assets, fill gaps, and troubleshoot technical and artistic problems across pipelines.
• Collaborate with programmers, artists, supervisors, and production staff to improve tools and workflows.
