Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a seasoned software engineer to design, develop, and maintain cloud-native CIAM applications. You will build customer-facing identity experiences, secure authentication across channels, and integrate with major CIAM providers.

The role covers backend services, microservices, APIs, and front-end work using React/Next.js/Vue.js, Node.js, and Python. You will collaborate with Product, Security, Platform Engineering, Architecture, UX, and IAM teams in an Agile environment,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Proven experience developing full-stack applications in cloud-native environments
• Strong experience building RESTful APIs and backend services
• Experience with modern frontend frameworks such as React, Next.js or Vue.js
• Strong backend development experience using Node.js and Python
• Experience working with relational and NoSQL databases
• Experience with microservices and distributed architectures
• Hands-on experience integrating with identity platforms (CIAM) such as Microsoft Entra ID, Okta, Auth0, Ping Identity
• Understanding of OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML, JWT tokens and patterns
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP)
• Experience with Git-based workflows
• Experience automating testing and quality engineering
• Strong understanding of Agile delivery methodologies
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Preferred: IAM/CIAM experience and large-scale customer platforms
• Preferred: knowledge of Entra External ID or Azure AD B2C migrations
• Preferred: Kubernetes and container platforms
• Preferred: Terraform, Bicep, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps
• Preferred: event-driven architectures and messaging
• Preferred: observability tools (Application Insights, Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog)
• Preferred: customer consent and privacy management solutions
• Preferred: Zero Trust security, multi-tenant SaaS

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain cloud-native applications with CIAM capabilities
• Build customer-facing identity experiences (registration, login, MFA, profile management, consent)
• Develop scalable backend services, APIs, and microservices for identity workflows
• Build responsive and accessible frontend UIs using modern frameworks
• Implement secure authentication across web, mobile, and API channels
• Integrate with CIAM platforms and identity providers
• Support SSO, passwordless, federated identity, and self-service registration
• Support B2B, B2C, and partner identity use cases
• Design secure RESTful and event-driven APIs for identity workflows
• Develop reusable SDKs, components, and shared services
• Optimize performance, reliability, and scalability
• Apply secure coding, OAuth 2.0, OIDC, and token-based flows
• Support threat modelling, security reviews, testing, and privacy compliance
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code
• Ensure highly available, secure, observable, and scalable applications
• Collaborate with Product, Security, Platform Engineering, Architecture, UX, IAM teams
• Participate in agile ceremonies and technical design discussions
• Contribute to engineering standards, documentation, and knowledge sharing
• Drive adoption of CIAM platform across business units
