This full-time position requires a completed Child Life Internship, current Child Life Certification, and 6 years of experience (or 5 years with a master’s). The schedule includes four 9-hour shifts and quarterly weekend coverage, with a sign-on bonus eligible.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (Child Life, Human Growth and Development, Education, Psychology) is required.
• Completion of a Child Life internship/field placement in a healthcare setting is required.
• Current Certified Child Life Specialist (CCLS) certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Directs interactions with patients and families to reduce distress and support coping.
• Educates families and care teams to ensure continuity of the care plan.
• Onboards and mentors new child life staff and students to develop clinical skills.
• Identifies quality improvement opportunities and supports program advancement.
• Adheres to regulations and professional ethics while delivering patient-centered care.
