EPM Scientific is seeking a Senior Manager, Patent Information Scientist (Chemist) in Lexington, MA, to lead chemistry patent and literature searches and provide strategic IP support. You will work closely with IP counsel, scientists, and business teams to shape technology landscapes and inform decisions.

The role emphasizes Markush and reaction searching, integration of AI-enabled tools, and collaboration across R&D, IP, and business units. A strong chemistry background is essential.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or M.S. in Chemistry preferred; B.S./B.A. with substantial experience considered.
• 6-10+ years of chemical patent searching experience.
• Experience reviewing patents, publications, and legal documents.

Responsabilités

• Independently perform comprehensive patent, scientific literature, and therapeutic pipeline searches.
• Collaborate with IP attorneys, scientists, and stakeholders to define research needs.
• Execute chemical structure, Markush, and reaction searches in databases.
• Conduct patent monitoring and competitive surveillance for products and competitors.
• Evaluate new search platforms, analytics tools, and AI-driven research tools.
• Support information resource management and related research requests.
• Develop analyses and reports to support R&D, IP, and business decisions.
