Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or equivalent professional experience.
• 8 years of experience in Liquid Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (LC/MS) or Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (GC/MS) techniques.
• Experience working within a high-throughput investigative laboratory environment.

Preferred qualifications:

• Master's degree or PhD in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Materials, or a related engineering field.
• Experience in High Resolution-Accurate Mass Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (GC/MS) or Liquid Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (LC/MS) techniques for small molecule analysis.
• Experience in technical leadership, project management, and executive communication.
• Knowledge of investigative software suites including Agilent’s Masshunter, Thermoscientific’s XCalibur, and Compound Discoverer.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct investigative sample preparation utilizing various wet chemistry methodologies.
• Execute high-throughput analysis of unidentified small molecules via GC/MS, LC/MS, and LC/MS-MS systems.
• Perform qualitative and quantitative data analysis and interpretation; formulate conclusions and propose additional analyses for validation.
• Develop and maintain investigative methods and instrumentation to ensure data integrity and high-quality laboratory operations.
• Communicate sample testing progress clearly, resolve operational challenges, and ensure timely completion of milestones.
