Job summary

Terumo Neuro is seeking a Staff Chemist, Manufacturing to support routine and transferring new processes from R&D. The role emphasizes process validation, method development, and cross-functional collaboration with R&D, Quality, and Regulatory.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in chemical synthesis and materials analysis, plus experience guiding junior chemists and improving manufacturing procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Sciences, or related field.
• 6–8 years of relevant industrial experience in chemical synthesis or materials analysis.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience directing junior chemists’ work.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Interface with other departments to solve production and technical problems.
• Provide SME input for engineering change orders, non-conforming reports, and MRB.
• Identify and implement new laboratory equipment and processes.
• Perform, interpret, and report analytical testing.
• Evaluate and initiate improvements to engineering, project, and departmental systems.
• Oversee junior chemists’ execution of validations for equipment and processes.
• Review and update documents such as BOMs, procedures, test methods, and validations.
• Guide junior chemists in prototype and pilot production support and knowledge transfer.
