We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Chemist to join our dynamic team in the engineering industry. The successful candidate will be a key player in our Research and Development department, focusing on the design and development of innovative chemical products and solutions. Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and optimization of chemical processes and materials.
• Conduct laboratory experiments to test, prove or modify theoretical propositions on the basis of research findings and experiences of recognized authorities in the field.
• Oversee the manufacturing process, ensuring that all products meet the company's quality standards and compliance with all relevant regulations.
• Develop and manage a robust system for tracking and reporting on project progress using SMART objectives.
• Work closely with the engineering team to integrate chemical processes with overall product design.
• Establish safety procedures for those working with dangerous chemicals and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree or PhD is preferred.
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in a similar role in the engineering or chemical industry.
• Extensive knowledge of chemical composition, structure, and properties of substances and of the chemical processes and transformations that they undergo.
• Experience in the design, development, and testing of chemical manufacturing processes.
• Proficiency in working with various chemicals and materials, particularly in the context of product development.
• Strong knowledge of safety, quality, and compliance regulations in the chemical industry.
• Familiarity with SMART objectives and project management methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues.
