Placements24 is seeking a Senior Chemical Project Engineer to lead capital projects in a hybrid setup. The role covers full lifecycle from concept through commissioning across our chemical facilities. Strong background in design, procurement, and execution is essential.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate 8+ years in chemical process projects, leadership, and proven ability to deliver on time and within budget. PE certification is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in project engineering and management within chemical/process industries.
• Proven track record delivering complex capital projects.
• Strong understanding of chemical processes, P&IDs, PFDs, and equipment specs.
• Experience with project management methodologies and software (MS Project, Primavera).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Familiarity with contract management and procurement processes.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a hybrid environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage chemical engineering projects from initiation to completion.
• Develop project scopes, objectives, budgets, and schedules.
• Oversee design, procurement, installation, and commissioning of process equipment and plant infrastructure.
• Ensure all projects comply with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
• Coordinate with internal departments and external vendors/contractors.
• Conduct feasibility studies and techno-economic evaluations for proposed projects.
• Manage project risks, issues, and changes effectively.
• Prepare project status reports and communicate progress to stakeholders.
• Provide technical guidance and support throughout the project lifecycle.
