Job summary

Capital Resin Corporation in Columbus, OH is seeking a Production Engineer to support engineering, design, and safe operations of production systems.

Under the direction of the Engineering Manager, you will analyze process data, troubleshoot downtime and quality issues, and collaborate with QA/R&D and maintenance teams.

A Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering and 5-10+ years of plant experience are preferred; PSM experience and AutoCad skills are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or similar field required.
• 5-10+ years chemical plant experience in an engineering role preferred.
• PSM (Process Safety Management) experience is a plus.
• Microsoft Office and AutoCad experience helpful.

Responsibilities

• Provide production support and technical expertise to the assigned process system, troubleshoot product quality and downtime issues.
• Identify cost reduction and reliability opportunities.
• Support QA and R&D teams on related issues and audits.
• Develop, improve, and maintain Process Safety Management documentation for assigned systems.
• Analyze long-term equipment reliability using plant historical data and process metrics.
• Coordinate with CRC maintenance and contractors for repairs, modifications, and new installations.
• Assist in developing new products and optimizing existing products.
